We are often asked the difference between a pie and a tart. Not a lot! Technically a tart has fluted straight sides as opposed to the slanted sides of a pie and the top is not enclosed in pastry. We use the terms interchangeably since we use fluted tins that are deeper than normal pie pans and some of our tarts are finished with a crumb topping.
All of the tarts are 9" and serve 10 to 12.
